We spent two week in the beautiful New England States with Jody and Barbara and Robert in October. We toured New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine and a little bit of Massachusetts. What a wonderful trip with great memories.
In May we celbrated our retirement with two weeks in Maui. We were joined by Jody and a friend and what a wonderful trip. The island was so beautiful.
(OK, Jana this one is for you!!! ) Bill and I travelled to Stockton ,Kansas in November to visit our favorite people there and to meet Billy for hunting (and guy time with his dad). We stayed with Frank and Jana who ALWAYS show us a good time. The farm is a favorite place of ours--some of my favorite walks happen there. The guys hunted until they dropped, we ate Frank and Jana's good cooking, and relaxed in their nice home. Jana and I disappeared during the day and hunted antique stores and craft bazaars. We need to make this an annual event either at their house or ours.
Bill and I have been religiously going to Bear River State Park to snowshoe and cross country ski. These pictures are summer shots as I have been too busy huffing and puffing down the trails to take pictures. These pictures attest to the fact that we are not the only ones enjoying the river. Wintertime pictures pending!!!
We visited Braydon and Savannah in Layton for Pizza and the 50 cent show--Savannah is walking all over now and was sporting her first pigtails. Braydon is getting in his new teeth which will definitely change what he can eat!!! Braydon played Grandpa a card game which ended up in a draw (Braydon made sure he didn't beat him two times in a row!!)
The Doobers came for a visit and joined Annelise for some toddler fun. Annelise found out a balloon is the best fun and Grandpa had to retrieve it off the celiling many times. We took a walk in the snow and learned not to eat the YELLOW stuff. They did not want to come inside until we bribed them with cookies. Heather tried Annie P's panty hose on as a hat. They are so much fun at this age, but are growing up fast!!!
I have joined the world of bloggers. Amy is patiently teaching me the ins and outs of posting pictures and writing text. I love to take pictures wherever I go so will share some of those plus highlights of our family activities. Now that I am retired I have to find new hobbies!!! Since this is practice, I will continue with my personal "tutor" so she can teach me more.
